First of all, you should stand or sit on the mat.

Relax your shoulders and let your hands hang down.

Now take your arms backwards and join your palms keeping the fingers facing down.

Now while inhaling, bend the fingers towards the spine and raise them up.

Your palms should be close to each other

In vajraasan or  adamantine pose this yoga is more effective

Stay in this position of the asana and breathe for some time.

After this, while exhaling, bring the fingers down.

Repeat this whole action again.

Benefit

If your shoulders are jammed and you are facing trouble in their movement, then this asana can prove to be very beneficial for you. Not only this, if your shoulders are fragile and often after a light stretch, they feel pain or there is a problem in their movement, then you should do reverse prayer daily daily.

Reverse prayer is very beneficial for neck and back pain. By doing this yoga asana, the tension of the muscles is reduced, which gives relief in pain.
